Activities in D-BOX

Major effort of APL will be to lead the WP7 (Validation and evaluation of technical solutions) and the WP8 (Dissemination and Exploitation).

Due to its experience coming from former projects, the company will be in charge of organizing first round of demonstrations (WP7.1) as well as providing recommendations for future work (WP7.3). APL will also contribute to development of toolbox providing operational (field experience-based) recommendations for optimal use of GIS system and GNSS tracking capabilities during multi-partner coordinated mine action (WP2.1). In the further step, APL will develop GIS support tool (WP4.1). APL will also contribute to the project with highly developed optoelectronic laboratory. Based on the researchers’ experience and also already developed hyperspectral system, Some activities are also foreseen in the analysis of human and ethical factors (WP3), mainly covering factors related to in-field demonstration activities.

APL as a leader of WP8, wihich will be continued along whole duration of the study, will ensure that the results from D-BOX have a long lasting and beneficial impact on European society and that everyone in the EU can use these results, either directly or to build upon.
